PHOTOGRAPHY RULES ON COURSE

The following rules and regulations apply to all photographers who have been granted accreditation to photograph on the race course. Any violation of these regulations may result in the withdrawal of accreditation and permission to access the race course and venue.

Access to the race course will be granted to a maximum of 30 photographers, based on the priority list. Please note that, in accordance with Article 14.1 of the FIS World Cup Rules, access to the race course is permitted only to journalists from media organizations listed on the FIS priority list, and only if access to the course is specifically approved by the FIS Race Director in agreement with the event organizer, taking weather conditions into account.

For all photographers who will be photographing on the race course, a mandatory meeting with the Photo Manager will be held before the first run, in the media center, every competition day at 7:00 a.m.

These rules are designed to help ensure safety for everyone on the race course and to provide the best possible working conditions for all involved.

Rules for photographing on the race course

  1. Every photographer who has permission to access the course must be a competent skier, have well-prepared (sharpened) skis, and be equipped with crampons.

  2. The use of monopods and tripods on the course is not permitted.

  3. All photographers on the race course must be in position one hour before the start of the first forerunner. Once they have taken their photo positions, they must not leave them until the last competitor has finished the respective run. After the run is completed, photographers must descend strictly along the safety fencing; never down the course itself, nor along or between the race gates.

  4. When entering the race course, photographers must present their media accreditation for the event and the badge/permit required for access to the race course. Please ensure that both are clearly visible to the security personnel.

  5. All skis, backpacks, and other equipment not being used for photography must be stored behind the safety fencing and away from potential run-out zones in case of athlete falls. Skis and all other equipment must be laid flat on the snow.

  6. Photographers must never position themselves in front of advertising boards, as this would obstruct their visibility on television.

  7. Photographers must follow the instructions of the race management and/or members of the race jury. Any request to change a photo position must be complied with immediately.

Failure to comply with any of the above rules and regulations may result in the withdrawal of journalistic/photographic accreditation.
