The Slovenian Ski Association, together with all FIS and IBU World Cup Organising Committees, announced the start of ticket sales at a ceremony in Ljubljana today. In addition to these races, Slovenia will host a snowboarding caravan with a World Cup race at Rogla (25 January 2025), while women and men will compete for points in telemark at Krvavec (6-8 March 2025). In February and March 2025, we will also host para-skiers and para-athletes - from 5-9 February at the World Championships in Pokljuka, and at the World Cup race in Kranjska Gora from 4-6 March.

Today's event in Ljubljana was not short of culinary delights. Bringing together the biggest winter sports events in Slovenia under one roof, the chefs from Nebo also prepared a selection of dishes with ingredients from the local areas where the events are hosted:

  • Ljubno presented the traditional Savinjski želodec
  • Beef soup, roast potatoes and horseradish with apples were served from the pastures of Pohorje and Roga
  • Kranjska Gora was represented by venison loin with cranberry sauce
  • From Pokljuka we had ricotta with Pokljuka porcini mushrooms
  • Planica with Rateče is known for its rateški krapi, this time stuffed with cottage cheese, breadcrumbs and honey
  • From Krvavec we had ajdovi žganci with cracklings and kranjska sausage

Statements:

Director of the Slovenian Ski Association Uroš Zupan:
The Slovenian Ski Association is proud to enter a new era of winter sports, where we are focusing on even more cooperation and the further development of these disciplines in Slovenia. 'ONE TICKET - FIVE WORLD EVENTS' reflects our commitment to bringing together the biggest winter competitions under one roof, to allow greater access for fans and even closer cooperation with the Organising Committees. We believe that the strength of winter sports lies in connecting and co-creating world-class events that inspire young people and support the development of all athletes. Over the next ten years, this vision will guide our actions as we strive to keep Slovenia at the heart of the world's winter sports and the most trophy sports federation in Slovenia, while promoting the growth of ski sports at all levels - from the competitive pinnacle to the promotion of skiing among all generations.
I would also like to take this moment to thank all the stakeholders involved in the organisation of our events, namely all the national and local institutions that cooperate with the available resources, all the partners or sponsors of the events, and all the others involved in the organisation and execution, especially the volunteers.

Thank you very much to all the participants and welcome to all the winter events in Slovenia, which I believe will be a success story for our athletes this season.

OK Cup Vitranc President Gregor Benedik:
Many ski fans will experience a great competitive charge and top entertainment at the Vitranc Cup. The track preparation team will put a lot of effort into making sure that the track can withstand the high temperatures, the athletes are always a magnet for spectators, and a rich accompanying programme with musical spectacles between the two races on Saturday and Sunday and Slovenia's biggest Apres Ski on Saturday evening will add the icing on the cake to the highlight of winter in Slovenia, which for the 64th time in a row will be the Vitranc Cup.

Luka Steiner, President of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Women's Organising Committee:
This will be a new important milestone in the history of Slovenian women's Alpine skiing, as Kranjska Gora becomes the official home of this prestigious competition. After several decades of unforgettable Golden Fox races, which have their tradition in Maribor, we are now proudly ready to continue the success story on one of the most challenging slopes in the World Cup. Kranjska Gora, with its long tradition of hosting the most important ski races, offers excellent conditions for both competitors and fans. We believe that this cross-country event will further strengthen Slovenia's reputation as an outstanding ski destination and contribute to the further development of Alpine skiing in Slovenia. We are looking forward to supporting our top female competitors such as Ana Bucik Jogan, Andreja Slokar, Neja Dvornik and other youngsters who will have the opportunity to show their quality in front of the home fans. The Audi FIS SKI World Cup Kranjska Gora 2025 will not be just a sporting event, but a true sporting event that will attract many fans from Slovenia and abroad.

Tomaž Šušteršič, Secretary General of OK Planica:
Planica is much more than just a sporting event - it is a symbol of Slovenian pride, enthusiasm and unstoppable spirit. Every year, as we approach Planica, memories of unforgettable moments when our ski jumpers broke the limits of what was possible come alive. And this year, Planica carries an extra weight - we are entering a crucial period before the 2028 World Ski Championships, which we will be proud to host. Planica 2025 is therefore an important stepping stone on the way to this prestigious milestone. And today we invite you to secure your place in the valley below Ponce and join the sporting euphoria. With sustainable solutions, including local gastronomy and plans to expand the airfield, we will continue to build the future of ski jumping and flying. Let Planica 2025 be an opportunity to create new memories together and look forward with optimism to the World Championships in 2028, where we look forward to record-breaking distances that will once again push the boundaries of human capabilities.

Jelko Kacin, Chairman of the Pokljuka Organising Committee:
We are happy to support the launch of a common ticket for all matches under the auspices of the SZS, as this will give fans comprehensive and easier access to top winter sports events. Pokljuka will host two major international biathlon events this year - the World Cup again in March and the first IBU Para Biathlon World Championships in February. Interest in biathlon around the world, both in front of screens and at venues, continues to grow, and we are very happy about that! The atmosphere that biathlon fans create at all venues is unforgettable, and that's exactly what we want to see in Pokljuka. Pokljuka is not only a celebration of the competitors and organisers, but above all of all the visitors who see the world's elite competition event at least once every two years in Pokljuka, this time for the last time before the Winter Olympics. That's why this year, for the World Cup, we will again offer free shuttle buses from Bled, and the biathlon pair will be free of charge. You are all very welcome to support all our athletes this winter, and we will warmly welcome you to Pokljuka twice this year!

Rajko Pintar, Chairman of the Ljubno2025 Organising Committee:
Ljubno is considered to be the cradle of women's ski jumping both in Slovenia and in the world. Many journalists ask us how to explain the extraordinarily high number of spectators at the Ljubno competitions and the equally extraordinary figures for television coverage from Ljubno. The answer to the first question is simple. The biggest contributor to the high number of spectators is the extraordinary results of our girls. With the help of our main sponsor, BTC from Ljubljana, we have made our competitors visible and they have returned the attention with excellent results. We also attracted a large audience with our hospitality, hospitality, various attentions and certainly with good organisation.
