During the FIS Women’s Alpine Ski World Cup races, which will take place on 3 and 4 January 2026 at the Podkoren ski course, traffic arrangements on state roads will generally remain unchanged.
A special traffic regime will apply on the Kranjska Gora–Rateče cycling path and on the access road from the settlement of Podkoren to the ski course. On these sections, in accordance with the permit issued by the Municipality of Kranjska Gora, all traffic will be prohibited during the event, and traffic management will be carried out in line with the organizer’s plan.
Vehicle access to the finish arena will be permitted exclusively to vehicles with the appropriate parking permits. Pedestrian visitors in the wider event area will be directed along specially marked corridors, separated from traffic routes.
Visitors’ vehicles will be directed by stewards to parking areas in Podkoren and, if necessary, to roadside areas and to the cycling path from the directions of Kranjska Gora and Rateče. Visitors are also advised to use the available parking areas in the settlements of Kranjska Gora and Rateče.
For skiers wishing to ski at the Podkoren 2 ski area during the competitions, vehicle access will be possible from the direction of Rateče to the parking area next to the chairlift.
We kindly ask residents of Podkoren, Kranjska Gora, and Rateče for their understanding and patience due to temporarily increased traffic during the sporting event. Visitors are urged to strictly follow the instructions of stewards and the police and to refrain from parking vehicles on grassy areas or other unauthorized locations.
We wish everyone a pleasant, safe, and relaxed experience at this top-level sporting event.
